Hakonechloa, or Japanese Forest Grasses, are one of few grasses that actually prefer shade to part shade instead of sun. Grown for their colourful foliage and dense, mounding habit, they are fantastic, colurful addition to the shade garden.
Hakonechloa 'Fubuki' brings 'cool plant' to whole new level. This new variety is variegated with green and white foliage. Develops pink tones in fall. It has a graceful weeping-mounding form, is dwarf to 14 inches in height and 18 inches in spread. Very elegant in shade gardens. Prefers part shade and moist, well drained soils. dislikes heavy soils or dry conditions. Foliage may burn in the hot sun.
Only limited quantities are available this fall so get yours quick!
